The Quezon City Jail–Male Dormitory successfully held its PDL Sportsfest 2026 on April 22, 2026, bringing together 295 persons deprived of liberty in a day filled with camaraderie and sportsmanship. The event formally commenced with the lighting of the torch by 𝗝𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗔 𝗟𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗗𝗘𝗦 𝗣 𝗣𝗔𝗖𝗜𝗢𝗡, 𝗥𝗣𝗵, City Jail Warden, sparking the beginning of the fierce competition between PDL from different sectors of the jail facility.

Highlighting the sportsfest was the much-anticipated basketball tournament, which drew enthusiastic participation and support from all teams. The games reinforced the positive values that sports can instill even for incarcerated individuals.

After a wave of performances, the Molave Team emerged victorious and was crowned champion of the cheerdance event. The success of the PDL Sportsfest 2026 reflects the facility’s continued commitment to holistic development and promoting physical wellness among the PDL.
