On April 29, 2026, through the joint initiative of ๐๐จ๐ง. ๐๐๐ฒ๐จ๐ซ ๐๐จ๐ฒ ๐๐๐ฅ๐ฆ๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐, the Quezon City Local Government Unit, and Quezon City Jail-Male Dormitory, twenty-two (22) Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) successfully completed their Housekeeping and Dog Training under the โ๐ก๐ผ ๐๐๐ฎ๐ป ๐๐ฒ๐ณ๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ต๐ถ๐ป๐ฑโ Program.
Under the leadership of Quezon City Jail Warden, ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐,๐๐๐ก, and ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐, Chief of the Welfare and Development Section, the graduation ceremony was conducted to recognize the successful completion of the training program.
The event was graced by Mr. Jovencio Gabriel, Senior Manpower Development Officer of the Social Services Development Department (SSDD), and Dr. Rey C. Del Napoles, DVM, Officer-in-Charge of the Quezon City Veterinary Department (QCVD), who both played key roles in facilitating and supporting the program.
The Housekeeping and Dog Training Program aimed to equip PDL with practical skills and livelihood opportunities they can use after their release. Through this initiative, they learned proper housekeeping practices, responsibility, and basic dog handling and care skills that can help them secure employment and rebuild their lives outside the facility.
During the ceremony, Mr. Gabriel and Dr. Napoles shared inspiring messages, encouraging the graduates to continue improving themselves and to use the knowledge and training they gained as stepping stones toward a better future. They emphasized the importance of discipline and hope.
After the program, the graduates also received personal hygiene kits and food packs initiated by the City Jail Warden to support their well-being and rehabilitation. This simple gesture reflected care and compassion in helping PDL restore confidence and sense of purpose as part of the continuing commitment to the โ๐ต๐ ๐ฑ๐๐๐ ๐ณ๐๐๐ ๐ฉ๐๐๐๐๐ โ Program.
