Under the leadership of the City Jail Warden, JSUPT MARIA LOURDES P PACION, and through the initiative of the Welfare and Development Unit, Quezon City Jail Male Dormitory conducted a welfare activity for persons deprived of liberty (PDL) with disabilities in celebration of the 48th National Disability Rights Week.

As part of the activity, PDL with disabilities were provided with free welfare services, including haircuts, massage therapy, pedicure, meals and refreshments, and a new set of PDL clothing to promote their well-being, comfort, and dignity. The Paralegal Unit also facilitated the processing of Good Conduct Time Allowance (GCTA) applications for qualified PDL, ensuring that they continue to receive the legal services and assistance available to them.

The activity reflects QCJMD's commitment to inclusive and humane corrections by addressing both the welfare and legal needs of PDL with disabilities. Through collaborative efforts among its service units, QCJMD continues to provide programs that uphold the rights, dignity, and well-being of every individual under its care.
