On July 17, 2026, the Quezon City Jail-Male Dormitory conducted a Self-Defense Training and Jail Disturbance Management Seminar for its personnel as part of its continuing efforts to strengthen operational readiness and ensure a safe and secure jail environment.

The seminar was facilitated by members of the STAR Team, namely JO3 Richard Michael Guinid, JO2 Mark Claro Opimo, and JO2 Lovelyn Martin, who shared practical knowledge and demonstrated techniques on self-defense and proper response during jail disturbances. The activity equipped participants with essential skills to effectively handle security-related situations while promoting discipline and professionalism in the performance of their duties.

Moreover, 𝐉𝐂𝚰𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐂𝐇𝐑𝚰𝐒𝐕𝚰𝐋𝐋 𝐎 𝐕𝚰𝐋𝐋𝐀𝐌𝐎𝐑, Chief of the Administrative Unit, graced the activity and presented Certificates of Appreciation to the resource speakers in recognition of their valuable contribution and commitment to enhancing the capabilities of QCJ-MD personnel.
