On July 24, 2026, under the leadership of 𝐉𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐀 𝐋𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐃𝐄𝐒 𝐏 𝐏𝐀𝐂𝐈𝐎𝐍, Quezon City Jail Warden, the QCJ-MD welcomed Engr. Isabel Besinio, Ms. Lou Diane Medalla and representatives from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), for a coordination meeting and facility inspection regarding the proposed water supply rehabilitation project.

The activity focused on assessing the jail's existing water system and identifying improvements to provide a more reliable and sustainable water supply for the persons deprived of liberty (PDL).

The inspection was also joined by JO1 Genchar Siroma and JO1 Johnrey Mariano from BJMP-NCRO, who participated in the coordination and assessment activities.

Through this, QCJ-MD and the ICRC continue their shared commitment to promoting humane detention conditions by ensuring access to safe and sufficient water for the welfare and well-being of the PDL population.
