In partnership with the Quezon City Local Government, the Quezon City Jail - Male Dormitory under the guidance of City Jail Warden, JSUPT MARIA LOURDES P PACION, conducted an insightful Lecture and Skills Training on Basic Hydroponics (Kratky Method) for persons deprived of liberty (PDL), facilitated by trainers and staff from the Joy of Urban Farming (JOUF).

The interactive session provided comprehensive guidance on seed propagation, system maintenance, and the specific materials required for both indoor and outdoor hydroponic setups.

The activity wrapped up with a motivational message from a former PDL who is now a successful JOUF representative, followed by an inspirational closing remark from JSINSP PHILOMEL P MALAZARTE, Chief of the Welfare and Development Section.

To cap off the successful event, packed meals and refreshments were distributed to all PDL participants.
