Under the leadership of City Jail Warden JSUPT MARIA LOURDES P PACION, personnel of the Quezon City Jail Male Dormitory gathered for the weekly flag raising ceremony, led by JCINSP HENRY C FABRO, Chief, Health Service Unit.

The ceremony highlighted Empathy as the Value Focus, with JO3 La Rosa sharing a message on understanding the experiences and struggles of others, especially in the performance of public service.

“Ang tunay na emphaty ay ang paglalagay ng sarili natin sa kalagayan ng iba. Kapag nauunawaan natin ang kanilang pinagdaraanan, mas nagiging malinaw kung paano natin sila dapat lapitan, unawain, at tratuhin nang may malasakit.”

The message reminds everyone that empathy goes beyond simply understanding others. It calls us to consider their circumstances and let that understanding guide how we communicate, respond, and treat others.

Through empathy, we build a workplace and community where people are understood, respected, and treated with compassion.
