The UST Alumni Association Inc, led by Ms. EVANGELINE E TIMBANG, visited QUEZON CITY JAIL-MALE DORMITORY to explore opportunities for meaningful collaboration in support of the Persons Deprived of Liberty.

The tour of the facility was facilitated by the City Jail Warden, JSUPT MARIA LOURDES P PACION, a fellow UST alumna, together with JSINSP PHILOMEL P MALAZARTE, Chief of the Welfare and Development Section.

During the visit, key areas of the facility were toured including the Lactating Area, Development Rooms, Livelihood Area, and the Activity Area (Chapel).

The visit also opened discussions for the upcoming โ€œGINTONG HANDOG PARA SA KAIBIGAN,โ€ a mini concert by the Rainmakers aimed at uplifting the spirits of the PDL while subtly promoting awareness for the facilityโ€™s BLUE ROOM, a dedicated space for mental wellness where PDL may seek guidance and support in times of emotional distress.

Possible areas for the Blue Room were identified during the tour, along with discussions on future support for wellness initiatives, including donations of barbering and manicureโ€“pedicure tools.

This visit reflects a shared commitment to compassion, rehabilitation, and community partnership in giving our PDL renewed hope and dignity.
