On October 26, 2026, under the leadership of JSUPT MARIA LOURDES P PACION, City Jail Warden, QCJ-MD personnel participated in an information seminar on PhilHealth’s Yaman ng Kalusugan Program (YAKAP) and the benefits for solo parents.

The seminar was facilitated by Dr. Karen Gemma A. See, Medical Officer IV of the QCHD District II Health Office, and Ms. Amor Susan of the PhilHealth Fairview Branch.

The first part of the seminar discussed PhilHealth YAKAP, which provides access to primary healthcare services, including medical consultations, laboratory tests, and essential medicines through accredited healthcare facilities.

The second part focused on the Solo Parent ID and the benefits, privileges, and eligibility requirements under Republic Act No. 11861, or the Expanded Solo Parents Welfare Act. Participants were also informed about the application process and the available government assistance for qualified solo parents.

The activity aimed to raise personnel awareness of healthcare benefits and social welfare programs that can support their health and family needs.
