(BEST) of the Quezon City Local Government Unit. The initiative focuses on the collection of recyclable materials within the facility, converting waste into cash assistance that supports the needs and welfare of persons deprived of liberty (PDL).

The program advances environmental sustainability by engaging both personnel and PDL in proper waste segregation and collection. Recyclable materials are processed through a partner agency, reducing landfill waste and helping curb pollution. Proceeds from the initiative are used to support PDL, while promoting discipline, environmental awareness, and meaningful rehabilitation.

The QCJ-MD also acknowledged the contribution of Ms. Maribel D. Marquez, Environmental Management Specialist of the Quezon City Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability Department, for her role in facilitating coordination and providing technical guidance that helped sustain the initiative.
