On May 6, 2026, the Quezon City Jail-Male Dormitory successfully conducted a TB Mass Screening for persons deprived of liberty (PDL) as part of its continuing commitment to safeguard the health and welfare of individuals within the facility.

The activity was spearheaded by ๐‰๐‚๐ˆ๐๐’๐ ๐‡๐„๐๐‘๐˜ ๐. ๐…๐€๐๐‘๐Ž, Chief of the Health Unit, in coordination with partner health agencies, Department of Health, Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP), RapidDx Diagnostic Center and medical personnel, ensuring the efficient and orderly conduct of the screening process. The initiative aimed to proactively identify possible tuberculosis cases, provide immediate medical intervention when necessary, and prevent the spread of communicable diseases inside the dormitory.

Through this, PDL were given access to proper health assessment and monitoring, reinforcing QCJMDโ€™s dedication to promoting a safe, and humane environment.
