On May 8, 2026, QCJ-MD commenced the first day of the PDL Voter Registration, spearheaded by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC). This three-day initiative is set to accommodate PDL from different districts: Districts 1, 4, and 6 on May 8; Districts 3 and 5 on May 12; and District 2 on May 15.

A total of 410 PDL from Districts 1, 4, and 6 actively participated in the opening day, showing commitment to civic duties despite their circumstances. The activity was conducted under the supervision of Election Officers Atty. Zennia S. Ledesma-Magno, Atty. Lope T. Gayo Jr., Ms. Mary Mylene Miranda, and Mr. Jonathan Lagerder, with the support of 30 COMELEC personnel who ensured the smooth and orderly registration process.

In addition to facilitating voter registration, COMELEC extended its support by donating five sacks of rice for the PDL. More than just an administrative exercise, this initiative reaffirms the fundamental right of every Filipino to vote, even while in the custody of the law.
