Under the leadership of City Jail Warden JSUPT MARIA LOURDES P PACION, the Quezon City Jail Male Dormitory conducted its Trash to Cashback Program on October 19, 2026, in coordination with the Quezon City Local Government Unit and Basic Environmental Systems and Technologies, Inc. (BEST).

Through the collection and segregation of recyclable materials from personnel and Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL), the activity promotes responsible waste management while generating points that can support PDL livelihood and welfare initiatives.

More than maintaining cleanliness, the program encourages PDL to practice discipline, environmental responsibility, and resourcefulness by turning recyclable waste into something valuable.

Less waste, cleaner surroundings, and more opportunities for positive change.
