On February 10, 2026, Quezon City Mayor Hon. JOY BELMONTE visited QCJ-MD to inspect the Child-Friendly Area and Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) Livelihood Products Showroom.

The facility tour, led by City Jail Warden JSUPT MARIA LOURDES P PACION, RPh, aimed to identify areas for improvement to further enhance the visiting experience as well as new PDL livelihood opportunities. The walkthrough highlighted the newly-opened QC-idzone, an area inside the facility where the PDL and their kids can enjoy a more meaningful and comfortable time together.

Other notable attendees included City Administrator Mr. Michael Victor N Alimurung, District 1 Councilor Hon. Dorothy A Delarmente, and District 3 Councilor Hon. Wenecerom Benedict Lagumbay.
