Jhelai D Pasco, Project Officer, QC LGU Gender and Development (GAD) Council, conducted a seminar on the Concepts of Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, Gender Expression, and Sex Characteristics (SOGIESC) at the Quezon City Jail–Male Dormitory for Persons Deprived of Liberty who are members of the LGBTQIA+ community on January 16, 2026.

The seminar served as a venue for participants to gain a clearer understanding of SOGIESC, fostering awareness, respect, and inclusivity within the facility. Through the discussion, PDL were provided with information that supports self-awareness and mutual respect, contributing to a more informed and supportive environment inside the jail.

JSINSP PHILOMEL P MALAZARTE, Chief Welfare and Development Section, presented a certificate of recognition to the guest speaker in appreciation of the valuable insights and expertise imparted during the seminar.
